#098 Hot Off The Power Plant

The microtypology of the substation has come into its own as a relevant piece of architecture. However, it is restricted to standing in forgotten isolation. A silent sentry, the substation’s dull presence is transformed to an element fuelling the heat of a typical daily activity: bread at the bakery. The boulangerie shapes a daily routine for many urban inhabitants, who can now get their bread….hot off the whirring, blustering (and slightly flour-dusted) power plant.
