B5_#059 // Boundary // Ema Hana Kacar
What is a border within the context of a room? Is it a solid wall, a window, or a curtain? Does it need to be defined by something material, or could it simply be the lack of anything physical, a border of space itself?
I used this brief as a study of borders, not as volumes or surfaces, but merely as a system of lines implicating separation. The definition of a border then shifts through the saturation of the cube’s internal lines, from that within the volume, to the extents of the volume itself.
