B3_#029 // The Waiting Room // Christopher Delahunt
Usually, doctors waiting rooms are clinical and boring. The typical set of twelve or so blue leather upholstered chairs will line the walls of a small room. Old issues of Readers Digest and Heat magazine will litter a slightly-too-low coffee table: perhaps there is an unkempt goldfish tank in the corner. The only bit of interest and stimulation lies in the toy box near the reception desk. Games to occupy children as their parents wait in slow purgatory. What if we flipped this norm on its head? Make the children wait, while the adults play a game… a game of giant snakes and ladders to pass the time!
