B2_#013 // The Fake News Room// Agostino Nickl
Empowered through new media, we learned how to tweak our newsfeeds to perfection and to subscribe and unsubscribe from the sheer mass of information sources surrounding us. We became more than ever the editors of the reality. What might be overseen in the fake news debate, is the spatial nature of it: new media might lift us over the boundaries of our neighbourhoods, cities and continents towards our digital peers – but if we had to spatialise our own news room, it would be a lonely one – corrupted through its curated isolation, ‘fake’ and ‘real’ become nothing more than different tags on our screens.
