B1_#008 // The Director’s Office // Emily Priest
This drawing considers how our directorial office might have become something of a vitrine. Such that this typology has become highly aware of itself as a humble display of the person who resides within it.
The office has become an organic curation of academic and professional dwelling; a seductive museum for the likeminded voyeur: books are collected and objects are placed; things move around every day and others may not move for years. That said, we must not mistake this for an egotistical space, but an innocent curation, and a homage to the working scenario that could also be assumed as a fetishised space for those aware of their surroundings, situational occurrences and the placement of objects.
